Just another node in the grid

Starting a blog is a royal pain in the ass, and yet totally addicting.  What in the hell should I write?  How do I adjust the font?  Widgets digitally exist?  How do I drive traffic to my site?  Blogging combines expression with narcissism.  The genesis of a blog becomes a thing unto itself, as a synthesis of creation and subservience to the web.  It becomes all consuming, a type of crack for the digital generation.  Blogs feed our need for people to like us and to tell people what we think.
